A seasoned management professional with extensive experience in the development, marketing, and sale of consumer products, Mr. Tator is responsible for directing TerraCycle's marketing and sales strategies.

Mr. Tator is an entrepreneurial visionary and a pioneer in the field of marketing. At the age of 14, he started the first free, student-run school in Canada, which still exists today. In 1982, Mr. Tator was the North American Operations Manager for New World Marketing, an innovative company that created a new direct marketing sales technique that revolutionized the hardcover book industry, and generated revenues that peaked at almost $3 million weekly within 2 years. Today, that technique — commonly referred to as 'Display Marketing' — is taught in business classrooms around the world.

More recently, Mr. Tator served as head of marketing for Octagon Visuals, a Canadian point-of-purchase merchandising company. He is also a successful start-up entrepreneur, having founded StreetCarts, Inc., the world's first portable self-serve ice cream dispenser company, and Freeze brand ice cream.
