Lawrence Palermo
VP of Operations and Logistics
Mr. Palermo holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and an Associate Degree in Traffic and Transportation from The State University of New York at Buffalo. He has an extensive career of more than 35 years in manufacturing and transportation operations, spending 5 years with a national motor carrier and then 32 years in the printing industry, holding a variety of senior level positions in both logistics and manufacturing. Mr. Palermo was admitted to Practice before the Interstate Commerce Commission as a class B Practitioner and was certified by the American Society of Transportation and Logistics in 1982.
He was also one of the founders of the Buffalo District Postal Customer Council serving as its president during its second year and served on the Board of Directors of Empire State Shippers Association as recording secretary for the majority of his 10 years as a director.
After moving into manufacturing in the mid eighties Mr. Palermo was active in a number of printing organizations including the Gravure Association of America, Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (specifically involved in the development of four color printing specifications), and the Web Offset Association of America where he served on the Board of Directors for 3 years.
Mr. Palermo's career includes the senior level positions of VP/ General Manager of 2 different printing plants in Minnesota and New Jersey, Senior VP and COO of a printer in Pennsylvania, and VP of Corporate Logistics for the second largest printer in the Unites States. These positions included a variety of responsibilities for a wide array of transportation, warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing operations.
