Kathryn Homa
Kathryn Homa is a 2007 graduate of Delaware Valley College where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture. A hard worker, Kathryn has always strived for success. She was the Salutatorian of her high school in 2003 and ranked fourth in her class at Delaware Valley College.
Growing up on a grain farm in Chesterfield, New Jersey, Kathryn has always had a passion for plants and agriculture. In her spare time, she enjoys working on her water garden, arranging flowers, gardening, shopping, and going to the beach.
Kathryn became a TerraCycle intern this summer for a number of reasons. The thought of working with an experienced individual with a doctorate in Plant Pathology (Dr. Joe Willis) encouraged me to join the TerraCycle team immediately. In addition, I chose to work in the greenhouse because I am very interested in a career in plant research.
TerraCycle is a great company to work for. The idea of using worm castings for fertilizer is not new, but TerraCycle's approach is both a unique and clever concept. In my opinion, TerraCycle fertilizer produces outstanding results, it is safe to use and it does not harm the environment. Go TerraCycle!!!
