Betsy Cotton

Chief Financial Officer

Betsy Cotton joins TerraCycle as CFO after having been the CFO for Stratum Group, a privately capitalized partnership focused on financing small to mid-sized North American oil and gas companies. There, she participated in all facets of building the partnership as well as in its investment process - from identifying, evaluating, and structuring transactions to exiting them at maturity, including taking one company public and sitting on its board. She had primary responsibility for developing and deploying Stratum's products in Canada and enjoys the challenges of creating and growing new businesses.

Prior to Stratum, she was a Vice President at a wholly-owned subsidiary of Metallgesellschaft AG, MG Trade Finance. At MGTF, she worked on numerous financings secured by everything from interests in venture capital funds to natural gas contracts. She had a lead role in MGTF's largest transaction, a $110 million loan, from inception through its sale to General Electric Credit Corp. When she was much younger than she is now, she held positions at Philipp Brothers and Bankers Trust Company. Betsy received her B.A. (cum laude) from Tufts University and her MBA from Stanford University.

Betsy lives in the Garden State on a small farm with her husband, son, horses, and cats and is an active volunteer in her rural community.
