Who can sign up for the Cookie Brigade program?
We welcome anyone from almost any organization to join in our recycling efforts! There are some practical considerations your organizations should keep in mind. For example, our program is not designed to accommodate recycling centers. Also the donations must go to a school or a non-profit organization.
What do I need to sign up for the Wrapper Brigade program?
Signing up for the Wrapper Brigade program is easy! All you need is a 501(c)3 charity (and their Tax ID #) to donate to, and of course, cookie wrappers! We have a list of many charitable organizations to donate to if you do not currently have one in mind. You will also need a valid email address and mailing address for us to mail bags to you.
How long does it take to get Cookie Brigade collection bags?
Once you sign up, you should receive a confirmation email from info@terracycle.net. After you confirm, it takes roughly 3 to 4 weeks to receive your first set of bags. We ship bags via USPS from New Jersey. Shipping times will vary by location. If you have not received your bags by the third week, send a quick email to info@terracycle.net from the email address you signed up with.
I signed up for the Cookie Brigade program, but I haven't received a confirmation email. What do I do?
Try signing up again and check to see that the email address is entered correctly. If it is, modify or check your spam filter for an email from info@terracycle.net. If all else fails, send a quick email to info@terracycle.net from the email address you signed up with.
Getting Cookie Brigade Collection Bags
How many bags do you send?
After you sign up, we will send you 4 collection bags which can hold 200 cookie wrappers each. It should take roughly 1-2 weeks for you to receive your bags. You will only receive 4 more collection bags if you return bags to us and our records indicate that you only have 2 bags remaining. Check your account online for feedback on your cookie wrappers, tracking your progress, etc.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
Nope! All the bags are mailed to you at our expense and come with UPS return labels which will bring the cookie wrappers back to our factory so that we can make TerraCycle unique fashion accessories! You win, we win, and the environment wins.
How do I get more Cookie Brigade collection bags? Can I get more than 4?
Four collection bags are automatically sent to your location when you return filled bags with cookie wrappers and are down to 2 bags at your location. Because of the number of participants, we are unable to handle special requests. Please be aware of the 1-2 week processing time and plan accordingly at your location.
