When I learned TerraCycle wanted to send me green cleaners I got really
excited because I LOVE there worm poop. Yes I said worm poop. It's used
as a fertilizer, it's totally natural and safe. It works great!!!
Anyway
they sent me the all-purpose spray, glass cleaner, bathroom cleaner,
and drain cleaner. They all smell a lot like alcohol but it fades very
fast and is much better than a toxic smell most cleaners leave. They
are all very safe and scent free. They reuse pop bottles and other
bottles to fill with the cleaners, it's very cool!!!
The
all-purpose spray cleaned quite well, with no left over residue. The
cost is great!! I didn't find myself having to use much so I think it
will last a long time.
The glass cleaner didn't leave any residue on the glass and cleaned the water spots off our bathroom mirror very well.
The bathroom cleaner did a very good job on our hard water spots on the tile and cleaned the tub really well!
The
drain cleaner is very awesome, I have already used all of that because
I was very excited and used it in all our drains haha. What's really
cool is it's naturally occurring microorganisms. Cool right?!
Be watching because I will have a giveaway from TerraCycle this weekend!!

Green Interviews: Patty Roberson from Three Piggies
My name is Patty Roberson and I live in Bristol, TN. It is located in Northeast Tn. I am a WAHM(work at home mom) to 3 wonderful children. Amelia-4; Lorelai-2; David Marshall-11 months. Everyday they teach me something new and they each challenge me in different ways. My husband and I have been married for 7 years. He is my best friend and biggest supporter.
Why do you feel living "green" is important?
Plan and simple-wastefulness. I truly believe that people do not realize all the items they waste. I want to teach my children that wastefulness is wrong. When we waste items that can be reused or recycled, we are not only hurting ourselves, but everyone around us. I believe that God helps those who help themselves. Why would he continue to bless you when all you do is waste so much of what he has given you.
Michael Miller Rock Guitar Picks Applique Shirt
For about a year.
What made you make the change?
I heard and read about people going green and organic. Honestly, I thought it was just a phase everyone was going through. The more I read, the more I became interested. Plus, I had never been told or taught what was actually in my food. When I started doing the research, I knew I didn't want my children consuming these items.
What is one of the biggest changes you have made?
Definitely, going all cloth on the children. Once we went on cloth wipes and diapers, I was amazed at how much money we saved every month. It was like hitting a mini lottery.
What is one tip you would like to share with the readers about going green?
Make Recycling Fun.
Kids will enjoy it more when they find it fun. Let them pick your recycling bins or let them sort the items. My kids may be young but they are totally involved in the whole process. For instance, any cans we save is sold by the pound for recycling. They are in the process of saving this money for our Disney trip.
When did you start your Etsy.com store?
January 2008
What kind of items will people find in your store?
Cloth Wipes-Flannel, Minky, Velour, Fleece
Teething Rags
Breastfeeding Relief Products
Boo-Boo Packs
Face Washcloths
Fleece Soakers or Diaper Covers
Bandana/Pillowcase Dresses.
Why do you feel it's important to use things like cloth wipes?
OH, Wow! There are so many reasons. Here are my main ones:
1. Better for the earth 2. Better on Babies Bottom 3. NO harsh chemicals or fragrances 4. They save you a ton of money.
Any tips for readers wanting to start an Etsy.com store?
Research your product-see if your items are on there; are your pieces competitive; are they wanted items

Recipe: Parmesan Chicken Skillet
My husband and I both thought the chicken in this was great but the
sauce was just okay. Next time I will make the chicken with alfredo.
(I don't measure when I cook so everything is guesses and to taste, if you don't cook like that you can find amounts on the original recipe at the end of this post.)
Parmesan Chicken Skillet
(Serves 2)
1 Large chicken breast (or two smaller), cut in bite size pieces
2 Tablespoons flour
Italian seasoning to taste
Garlic to taste
Cajun Seasoning to taste
salt & pepper to taste
1 1/2 butter, divided
1/2 cup milk (I used a little flour to thicken)
1/4 cup Parmesan (I bet I used more haha)
4 ounces cooked angel hair pasta
Toss chicken in flour and seasonings.
Heat 1 tablespoon butter in large skillet.
Add chicken, skillet until cooked.
Remove chicken and keep warm.
Add milk, heat for about 2 minutes (stirring).
Add parm.
Add rest of butter.
Add chicken, toss.
