b"Slow-release granular fertilizer. Made from worm castings and chicken litter, this fertilizer can feed plants for up to 12 weeks. Not only is the fertilizer made from waste, but it comes packaged in reused gallon jugs.

b"Eco-friendly cleaners. These cleaners are made from natural plant materials and are biodegradable and nontoxic. They are packaged in reused one liter soda bottles. The line includes a drain cleaner, glass cleaner, bathroom cleaner and an all-purpose cleaner.

    Tomato stocking resumes
Almost three weeks after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warned of a salmonella poisoning outbreak from tomatoes, inspectors have narrowed their search for the culprit crops to farms in parts of Mexico and Florida. Though the warning has not been lifted, supermarkets are once again stocking their produce sections with tomatoes deemed safe but California tomato growers are left wondering if consumers will shun raw tomatoes as they did spinach a year and a half ago.

For consumers who are still concerned about the possibility of salmonella contamination in tomatoes, farmers' markets are a good place to purchase fresh, locally grown produce that is safe.
