Cork Brigade

TerraCycle is saving millions of corks from going into landfills. We are recruiting wine enthusiasts, restaurants, bars, tasting rooms and wineries to keep used corks out of the waste stream. As an eco-friendly innovator, TerraCycle upcycles used corks - both natural and synthetic - into cool products are available nationally at major retailers.

Participating in the Cork Brigade is easy! All you have to do is mail corks to TerraCycle! If you have lots of corks, we will pay shipping and provide downloadable shipping labels. Sign up, activate your account, follow the email instructions and voila! You can begin sending corks to TerraCycle and away from landfills.

You can send your corks to TerraCycle in a variety of ways: Make sure you write "Cork Brigade" on the container in big letters to help us sort the packages!

Self-mail a few corks

Up to 10 corks use 2 stamps; up to 30 corks use 4 stamps. If you want to be super green, reuse a clean food package or mailer or even a shopping bag to send us the corks.

200 or more corks?

Restaurants, tasting rooms, bars and festivals, this is for you! Collect lots of corks and qualify for prepaid UPS shipping. If you would like to become an industry sponsor please let us know!* Sign up for downloadable shipping labels here and you’ll receive an email with instructions. When you have collected at least 200 corks, just box them up in an old box or shipping container. Then, simply drop your package at a local UPS drop-off location and you’re set!

To sign up, please click here. Once you have responded to the confirmation email, all you have to do is start collecting corks! Because you can send them in to us at any point - whether you’ve collected 5 corks or 105 corks - this program is extremely easy to participate in. Please refer to the FAQ’s before signing up.
