"I became a Graphic Design Intern in summer 2006 for TerraCycle. The interns were treated as equals and given the opportunity to be involved in projects that would actually get used in the real world. My internship at TerraCycle gave me a great indication for what to expect in a corporate environment. Some of my responsibilities were taking photos of products and creating labels for new items. The best part is that the labels I created were actually used for the final product. How many people can put on their resume that you can see something they created in Target, Wal*Mart, and Home Depot nationwide? I continued my internship through the fall semester and when I graduated in December, I had a job lined up with TerraCycle. I felt so lucky that I had a job lined up right after I graduated. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience."

I joined TerraCycle not knowing what to expect. However, I transitioned into the company with great ease. The staff is welcoming and helpful, but most importantly, they are accessible. If I had any questions about anything I could go to anyone in the company — including the CEO. That's because everyone who works at TerraCycle truly wants to be here. People genuinely love what they do and want to see the company grow.

My work at TerraCycle focuses mainly in public relations and marketing. I work on thinking of creative and enticing new ways to promote the company. From writing press releases to developing relations with the media, I have learned and followed through on all the steps involved in promoting a company that doesn't believe in advertising. The work is both rewarding and ever-changing, as the more TerraCycle succeeds, the more press and attention we generate.

My favorite part about working at TerraCycle is the fact that the management team is open to everything. If you have an idea or a way to make something better, they will listen and consider it — and if it's a good, they will actually put it into motion! When you work at TerraCycle, you don't feel like another employee, you feel like a part of a team.
