Home Storage Brigade

Every year, millions of Ziploc® bags and containers that are used in schools end up in landfills. SC Johnson has partnered with eco-innovator TerraCycle™ to help provide a second life for Ziploc® bags and containers discarded at Elementary, Middle, and High schools.

Every time you use a Ziploc® product - any type of bag or container - you and your school can help save it from being discarded into a landfill by sending it to TerraCycle. For each approved bag or container received, 2¢ will be paid to your school.* It’s a win, win situation!

Please note – in order to participate in this program you must be a Elementary, Middle or High School with a valid Federal Tax ID number. To be confirmed in the program you must sign up with your full school name as your team name and use a valid school email address (ex Team Name: East Amwell Elementary School, not EAES). You will be notified of your acceptance to the Brigade within 48 hours.

*Ziploc® bags and containers are counted based on weight using .01 lbs as the average weight of one bag and .1 lbs as the average weight of one container. $0.02 is donated for each .1 lbs of eligible container or .01 lbs of eligible bag received.
