What kind of 8 oz. milk bottles are acceptable?
We are collecting 8o.z. plastic 8 oz. milk bottles in schools which are distributed through the Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association. Please ONLY send in these types of 8 oz. milk bottles – other 8 oz. milk bottles will not be credited to your account.
Can any school sign up for the Bottle Buddy Brigade?
If your school meets the geographic requirements (listed on the sign-up page), your school can APPLY to participate in the Bottle Buddy Brigade. Once your school applies, your school will be contacted within 2 weeks with a new confirmation link.

What does my school need to do to sign up for the Bottle Buddy Brigade?
You will need to meet the MDA’s geographic requirements (to find out of you meet the requirements please contact your School’s MDA Marketing Manager).
You will also need the following:
1) A contact person to administer the Bottle Buddy Brigade (this should be the person in charge of the online account)
2) A 501(c) 3 charity (and its Federal Tax ID # - formatted as xx-xxxxxxx – numbers only).
3.) A valid e-mail address to receive an e-mail confirmation and other materials.
My school signed up for the program, now what should I do?
If your school has been accepted into the program, you will receive an acceptance email from our customer support team.
If your school has been declined, you will also receive an email. Please do not get discouraged, there are various brigade programs that your school can participate in.

Can my school sign up more than once?
No, each school can only have one account. Any additional accounts will be suspended. However, as an account holder you can participate in more than one Brigade program to earn money for your Charity. If you have any questions please email customersupport@terracycle.net for clarification.
What if my school information changes or needs to be updated?
If for any reason, you need to change or update the information, please select the collect tab (located on your profile) and then simply click edit this team. If you still need assistance or have questions please contact Customer Support at 1-866–967–6766 option 1 or email customersupport@terracycle.net and representative will be glad to assist you.
SHIPPING
Do I have to pay for shipping?
Nope! Your school will be printing UPS pre-paid shipping labels from our web site to enable you to ship your collections for free!
How do I ship the packaging back to you?
1.Find a reused box from your school (ask a custodian, great creative).
2. Once you have a box, download the pre-paid UPS return label by clicking the “Get Supplies” icon and select Bottle Buddy Brigade under the drop down menu on our website.
3. Print the pre-paid label and affix to the reused box.
4. If your school has a regular UPS daily pick –up, you can give the box to your UPS driver. If your school does not have a regular scheduled pick-up, please visit www.ups.com to find a local drop off center near you.
Here is an example of boxes that you can use to ship your bottles back to us:
Chicken Tenders Box 100 bottles 4.5 lbs
Marcal Paper Towels 156 bottles 6.7 lbs
Frito Lay Chips box 160 bottles 6.76 lbs
Is there a limit to how many 8 oz. milk bottles my school can send in?
There is no limit to the amount of 8 oz. milk bottles your school can send in. We ask that you completely fill boxes before sending them in.
PAYMENT
How much will the school get paid for 8 oz. milk bottles?
For each 8 oz. milk bottle your school sends in, 2¢ will be donated to the non-profit of your choice (yes, your school is considered a non-profit organization). 8 oz. milk bottles will be counted based on weight using 8 oz. as the average weight of a milk bottle.
My school has sent in collections, why didn’t I receive a check?
Charity checks are mailed DIRECTLY to the designated charity, not to the individual contact. If your school is the designated beneficiary, then please check with your administrator or organizations accounting department.
Charities will receive a check in June for collections received between November 1st and April 30th. Charities will receive a check in December for collections received between May 1st and October 31st.
Our school forgot to select a charity during sign up. Can we still select one?
Yes. Your school can select their charity by logging into your account and clicking the “Benefit Tab”. You will then see a small link that says [Change]. If you are unable to add your charity then please call 1-866-967-6766 and press option 1 or email customersupport@terracycle.net with the charity name, address, contact person and Tax ID #.
**Please note that changes to the charity will take effect for all items mailed in AFTER the change is registered. For bottles your school has sent in that may not yet have been credited, the previous (default) charity will be the beneficiary.**
Can my school switch the charity?
Your school can change their charity by logging into your account and clicking the “Benefit Tab”. You will then see a small link that says [Change].
