Our goal is to convert packaging into reusable grocery bags, handy tote bags and other “green” items for everyone in your home. Sign up for the Scott® Brand Brigade today and start sending Scott® bath tissue, towels, napkins and flushable moist wipes packaging to TerraCycle. In turn, the packaging will be “upcycled” into thoughtful new products. For every package received by Terracycle, 2¢ will be donated to a charitable organization or school of your choice. Scott® Brand Brigade Page FAQ’s General Information SIGN UP What kinds of packaging are acceptable? We are collecting the outside packaging from bath tissue, towels, napkins, and flushable moist wipes. Who can sign up for the SCOTT® Brand Brigade? We welcome anyone from mothers and families to a school or organization to join in on our efforts to save packaging from waste bath tissue, towels, napkins, and flushable moist wipes packaging from landfills! What do I need to sign up for the SCOTT® Brand Brigade? Signing up for the SCOTT® Brand Brigade Program is easy! You will need to provide 1) a contact person to administer the SCOTT® Brand Brigade and 2) a 501(c)3 charity (and its Federal Tax ID # - formatted xx-xxxxxxx - numbers only). If you do not have your own charity, you can select our default charity. You will also need to provide a valid e-mail address to receive an e-mail confirmation letter and other materials I signed up for the program, but I haven’t received a confirmation e-mail. What should I do? Please check to see if your confirmation e-mail from customersupport@terracycle.net was sent to your spam or junk mail, BUT DO NOT SIGN UP AGAIN. Please email customersupport@terracycle.net with subject line: No Confirmation E-mail, along with your phone number. Someone will contact you and fix the situation. Check to determine if there are available spots open for the desired program. Can my school or organization sign up more than once? No. Each individual and organization, including schools, can only have one SCOTT® BRAND Brigade account. Any additional accounts will be suspended. However, more than one brigade can benefit a single school. If you have any questions please contact customersupport@terracycle.net for clarification. What if my information changes or needs to be updated? If for any reason you need to change or update your information, please select the collect tab (located on your profile) and then simply click edit this team. If you still need assistance or have questions please contact Customer Support at 1-866–967–6766 option 1 or email customersupport@terracycle.net and someone will be glad to assist you. PAYMENT Is there a minimum/maximum amount of packaging to collect before my school or charity will receive a check? We typically do not cut checks for less than $5. If you have a donation of less than $5 in June, we will not cut a check at that time. If you are still under $5 in December, we will send you whatever your donation is at that time. Otherwise, you can collect as much packaging as you like and we will submit checks in June for any amount over $5. I've sent collections in to benefit a charity. Why didn’t I receive a check? Charity checks are mailed DIRECTLY to the designated charity, not to the individual contact. Charities will receive a check in June for collections received between November1st - April 30th. Charities will receive a check in December for collections received between May 1st -October 31st. I forgot to select a charity during sign up. Can I still select one? Yes. Please call 1-866-967-6766 and press option 1 or email customersupport@terracycle.net with the charity name, address, contact person and Tax ID #. You can also select the charity through the TerraCycle website for the SCOTT® Brand Brigade. Please note that changes to the charity will take effect for all items mailed in AFTER the change is registered. For packaging you have sent in that may not yet have been credited, the previous (default) charity will be the beneficiary. Can I switch my charity? Yes. Please call 1-866-967-6766 and press option 1 or email customersupport@terracycle.net with the charity name, address, contact person and Tax ID #. Additionally you can also switch your charity through the Terracycle website for the SCOTT® Brand Brigade. The new charity will only be credited with packaging that you send in AFTER that point. SHIPPING Do I have to pay for shipping? Nope! You will be receiving labels and bags from us or printing UPS shipping labels from our web site to enable you to ship your envelopes for free. You will be using the bag/box we send you or you can use your own brown box for mailings. This will bring your SCOTT® Brand Brigade collections back to our factory to be upcycled into TerraCycle eco-chic products! You win, we win, and the environment wins! How do I ship the packaging back to you? If you already have a box or bag, you can download your own pre-paid UPS return label by clicking the “Get Mailing Labels” icon and select SCOTT® Brand Brigade under the drop down menu on our web site. You can also have us ship you some labels and bags/boxes by clicking “Send Me Mailing Labels.” Then select “Print My Label Now” and a label will automatically print out from your printer. Simply affix the label to your box or bag and drop it off at any UPS location. Is there a limit to how many pieces of packaging I can send in? As of right now, there is no limit to the amount of packaging you can send in. We ask that you fill up the bags or boxes completely with Scott® waste packaging material before sending them in. As long as you have been sending in a slow, steady stream, you are doing well. I checked my status. Why is it incorrect? Please check back frequently to see your status update.
