As an eco-friendly innovator, TerraCycle converts the used drink pouches into unique fashion bags, tote bags, pencil cases, and other items for kids and adults! TerraCycle is proud to team up with the largest producer of drink pouches in the country, Capri Sun, and a young organic entry into the market, Honest Kids, to help address this problem! Together with your help we CAN make a difference! Once you have signed up for the Drink Pouch Brigade, you will receive an activation email. Once you activate your account, you must log into your account and chose whether you would like to download prepaid shipping labels (the eco-friendly option) or have TerraCycle mail you 4 prepaid labels and shipping envelopes. The TerraCycle Drink Pouch Brigade™ program allows almost any school, non–profit organization or individual to save drink pouches from taking up space in landfills. TerraCycle will donate $.02 for each drink pouch we receive. which will go to the school or charity of your choice. If you don't have a charity currently in mind, you may choose from a list of existing charities! There are no signup fees whatsoever.

Who can sign up for the Drink Pouch Brigade program? We welcome anyone from almost any organization to join in our efforts to save pouches from landfills! There are some practical considerations your organizations should keep in mind. For example, our program is not designed to accommodate recycling centers. We are currently collecting only drink pouches. What do I need to sign up for the Drink Pouch Brigade program? Signing up for TerraCycle, Capri Sun & Honest Kids Drink Pouch Brigade program is easy! All you need is a 501(c)3 charity (and their Tax ID #) to donate to, and of course, drink pouches! At the time of sign up you are welcome to also select our default charity, which is Earth's Birthday. You will also need a valid email address and mailing address to receive a confirmation letter and to receive materials. How long does it take to get Drink Pouch Brigade bags? You will only receive shipping bags and labels from TerraCycle if you chose the option to have us mail you envelopes and labels, however we encourage you to download shipping labels by logging into your account and going to the left hand side of your screen choosing the option "Get Mailing Labels". If you chose to have us mail you shipping labels and envelopes, it will take 2 -3 weeks before you will receive them. I signed up for the Drink Pouch Brigade program, but I haven't received a confirmation email. What do I do? Please first check to see if your confirmation e–mail from customersupport@terracycle.net was sent to your spam or junk mail, BUT DO NOT SIGN UP AGAIN. Please email customersupport@terracycle.net, or call our customer support team at 866–967–6766. How many bags do you send? After you sign up, if you chose the shipping option for us to mail you shipping labels iIt should take roughly 2-3 weeks for you to receive your bags. You will only receive 4 more collection bags if you return bags to us and our records indicate that you only have 2 bags remaining. Because we reuse our bags for other participants, we want to make sure there is a commitment to this program. Check your account online for feedback on your drink pouches, tracking your progress, etc. Do I have to pay for shipping? Nope! All the labels are prepaid and addressed to us, which will bring the drink pouches back to our factory so that we can make TerraCycle unique fashion bags! You win, we win, and the environment wins. Why do some of the Drink Pouch Brigade bags I received seem used? Our company is all about recycling and so we reuse everything and anything we can! We try to reuse the Drink Pouch Brigade bags several times to help the environment and also allow more folks to participate. The sooner you return your bags full with drink pouches, the faster we can send bags out. Do I need to clean the pouches before putting them in the bag? We ask that you remove the straws and ensure that the liquid is removed from the pouches as much as possible. If you can, it does help if you cut the pouch at the top above where the straw is inserted, however this step is NOT required. This cleaning process will also help eliminate unwanted pests. How many drink pouches should I put in each Drink Pouch Brigade bag? The collection bag fits at least 100 drink pouches, however we encourage you to send in more than 100 if you can. How much do you pay per drink pouch? We credit your charity $.02 per Honest Kids, Capri Sun and/or Kool-Aid drink pouch. How often do I get paid for my drink pouches? TerraCycle sends donations twice a year; in December and June. In December, only donations larger than $5 will be sent. In June, all donations will be sent, regardless of size. The minimum collection amount to receive a donation in December is the 250 pouches. There is no minimum for June donations. I’ve sent collections in to benefit a charity. Why didn’t I receive a check? Assuming your collections met the minimum requirement stated above, charity checks are mailed DIRECTLY to the designated charity. not to the individual. Charities will receive a check in June for collections received between November–April. Charities will receive a check in December for collections received between May–October. I forgot to select a charity during sign–up. Can I still select one? Yes. Please call 866.967.6766 and press option 1, or email customersupport@terracycle.net with a charity name, address, contact person, and a valid Tax ID #. Can I switch my charity? Yes. Please call 866.967.6766 and press option 1, or email customersupport@terracycle.net with a charity name, address, contact person, and a valid Tax ID #. Is there a limit to how many drink pouches I can send in? Currently there are no limits. However, please keep in mind the realities of the 1-2 week processing times, shipping times, etc. If you find that your group collects on a high volume, we encourage you to use the labels that we provide to you on boxes (similar to the size of a copy paper box) and affix one label onto your box. I checked my status. Why is it incorrect? Our processing time takes roughly 2–3 weeks. Your collection status through our website processes slightly slower, and details about your collections may not be up to date. Please check back frequently to see your status update. If there is a serious problem with your collection or donation status please call Brigade Services at 866.967.6766 and press option 1 or email customer support at customersupport@terracycle.net. What kind of drink pouches do you accept? We donate $.02 for all drink pouch brands. How should I send the Drink Pouch Brigade bags back to TerraCycle? Simply tape the collection bags securely and find a UPS regular pickup/drop off location. Please do not call UPS to schedule a custom pickup, as we cannot reimburse for additional charge incurred by this service. Visit http://www.ups.com/dropoff?loc=en_US to find a drop off location if your location does not have regular UPS service. Our organization is done collecting drink pouches, can we unsubscribe? To unsubscribe, return all the bags you currently have with drink pouches along with any extra UPS bags to TerraCycle, and then please contact us to unsubscribe. Can my school or organization sign up more than once? No. Each individual and organization, including schools, can only have one Drink Pouch Brigade account. Any additional accounts will be suspended. However more than one brigade can benefit a single school. If you have any questions please contact customersupport@terracycle.net for clarification.
